Kate is a warm, compassionate and experienced clinical psychologist who draws upon evidence based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Attachment-Based and Parent Coaching interventions to empower her clients to build self-awareness and improve their quality of life. Kate supports clients in processing their emotions, developing a better understanding of who they are and how best to break free from negative life patterns that have exacerbated their psychological challenges.
Kate has clinical experience in managing a wide range of psychological problems in adults, adolescents and children. Kate is mindful of creating a safe, non-judgemental environment for individuals looking for support with anxiety, stress, low mood and depression, personal development, managing perfectionism and procrastination, interpersonal difficulties, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and self-esteem.
In addition to providing individual therapy, Kate also has extensive experience in parenting and child behaviour concerns. Kate works collaboratively with parents to identify and address child behavioural and attention difficulties, challenges experienced by neurodivergent children, adjustment concerns, study stress, low mood and anxiety/panic, emotional dysregulation and confidence problems to enhance family relationships and child-parent connectedness.
Qualifications
Kate holds a BSc Psychology (Honours) from University of the West of England and a Master of Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University. Kate is fully registered and endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Kate is a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK.
